Rest

Margin is a concept in today's society, that at best is on the fringe, and at worst has vanished entirely. We live in a 24/7, 365.25 global society that. never. stops. TV is broadcast 24/7, radio is on at all times, the internet never sleeps, and people have to be on all of these mediums at all times, but hat happens when one of those fail?

The issue extends past technology, but to our schedules, jam packed so that every ounce of our day is slammed. What happens when you are late to your first meeting? It extends into finances, many households and businesses are running on a month-to-month budget. What happens when you are sick, burned out - or we have a global pandemic?

These questions are the subject of this daily, small 2-page read that no matter how busy you are, you can make time for 2 minutes to read. I personally prefer to read right before I go to bed each night, reflecting on the reminders presented in this book, to prioritize margin.

This is not a candidate for an audiobook, but the author has a "normal book" version of this that you can read to your hearts content. Both are wonderful reads, a book that was given to me by a wonderful mentor, and a book I often give to others.
